| Hello xanga world, it has been quite a while.
Here is my gripe on this Monday... Okay, we have community coffee pots at work. There are two pots each for caffeinated & decaf. The idea is that you make a pot in one, and then while people are filling their mugs from that pot, the other one can be used for brewing a new pot. The cycle continues of using up the older coffee and brewing the newer coffee.
Well, there are people who always want the fresher coffee, so if two pots are already brewed, they will take it from the pot that is still sitting under the brewer instead of the older one. I'll admit I do this sometime because face it, who DOESN'T want the fresher stuff? BUT... there is a point that you must draw the line. Some people think it is so imperative that they get the fresher coffee, that when a pot is still in the act of brewing, even if there's another pot brewed 5 minutes ago that's 3/4 full, they will switch out the currently brewing pot with the already brewed pot so they get the absolutely freshest coffee they can. Okay, here's the problem.... even if you take the currently-brewing coffee, it's STILL going to taste cruddy. I mean this is free, community coffee, people! It tastes like caffeinated sour sludge. It is NOT worth playing around with the brewer and making a mess to get still-crappy coffee.
...Okay?
P.S. We're trying to move... somewhere. I've been applying for many jobs. I think the front-runners are: North Carolina Denver Phoenix Portland

| An outfit I spotted today (at 6:30 in the morning): Shirt: Light pink, with tiny yellow and orange flowers. Pants: Light pink Shoes: Yellow and orange-swirled crocs Moral of the story: Quit trying to make your yellow and orange crocs match an outfit, people. They are not going to match anything, nor were they ever meant to match anything. |

| Another Grande Quad Nonfat Latte, please.
My new job is a SME... aka Subject Matter Expert. Oooh... I'm an Expert! Basically it means I'm one step above a normal processor, and one step below my team's supervisor. No one reports to me but I get to do a lot more interesting stuff than just the normal processing I've been doing.
BY the way.... My little ninjas now live in my cubicle with me. They miss all the IV people and would like to say "hi". |
